Teos julkaistaan Kulttuuriosuuskunta ILME:en uudessa, kahdenvälisten teosten verkkoportaalissa helmikuussa 2025 (tarkempi julkaisupäivä ja portaalin osoite julkaistaan myöhemmin).

Etäviestintä perustuu mahdollisuuteen luoda yhteys fyysisestä etäisyydestä huolimatta. Mutta mitä nämä etäisyydet/läheisyydet merkitsevät yksilöille? Miten suhtaudumme fyysiseen, psykologiseen, emotionaaliseen ja ideologiseen etäisyyteen? Millaisia välineitä fyysiset/digitaaliset kehomme ovat avaamaan vuoropuhelua erilaisten rajojen ja rajoituksien yli?
Remote communication is based on the possibility of creating contact despite the physical distance. But what do these distances / proximities mean to different beings? How do we relate to physical, psychological, emotional and ideological distance? What kind of tools are our physical/digital bodies to open a dialogue across borders and boundaries?
Celebrating Di s t a n c e and proximity kutsuu osallistujia kuuntelemaan, havainnoimaan ja kartoittamaan ympäristöään. Lisäksi se kutsuu kuvittelemaan asioita, joita ei juuri nyt ole läsnä. Sen tavoitteena on tuoda ihmiset lähemmäksi toisiaan ja juhlistaa läheisyyttämme fyysisestä etäisyydestä huolimatta. Millä tavoin kosketamme etäisyyden päästä?
Celebrating Di s t a n c e and proximity invites participants to listen, observe and map their environment, but also to imagine what isn’t present at the moment. It aims to bring people closer together to celebrate our proximity despite the physical distance that is present. What are the ways we touch at a distance?
Emma Vilina Fält on monialainen taiteilija joka työskentelee moninaisten vaihtuvien ryhmien kanssa piirroksen, installaatioiden, esityksen ja osallistavien työskentelytapojen parissa. Fält on kiinnostunut kuuntelemisesta, kontaktista ja yhdessä tekemisestä, joita pohtii piirroksen ja dialogin keinoin. Fält on inspiroitunut kehoista, kehojen rajoista ja tavoista luoda yhteys maailmaan. Hän tutkii erilaisia tapoja ajatella, tehdä ja esittää piirros, sekä tutkia todellisuutta sen tekojen kautta.
Emma Vilina Fält (She/They) is a multidisciplinary artist working in diverse working groups with drawing, installation, performing arts, and participatory practices. Their main interests are listening, contact and togetherness that unfold through the act of dialogue and drawing. Fält is inspired by bodies, their boundaries, and ways to connect with the world. They seek to expand and stretch the understanding of drawing, the ways to present it and research reality through the acts of drawing.
