Elämä on väliaikaista -luentoesitys käsittelee ajatuksia, joita ANTI-festivaalin arkistojen tutkiminen herättää. Luento on osa ANTI-festivaalin ja Todellisuuden tutkimuskeskuksen & Mad House Helsingin uutta Katoavan taiteen kokoelma -yhteistyöhanketta, jossa kuvitellaan uudelleen esitystaiteen tekemisen, esittämisen ja kokemisen tapoja julkisen taiteen kontekstissa. Laitinen valmistelee hankkeessa uutta julkisen tilan esitysteosta tulevalle vuodelle.

Tuomas Laitinen on esitystaiteilija, tutkija ja pedagogi. Hänen taiteellinen työskentelynsä keskittyy yleisön roolin kyseenalaistamiseen, sillä kokeilemiseen ja siten uusien esitysmuotojen kehittämiseen. Hän on esiintynyt ANTI-festivaalilla vuonna 2014 poikansa Ilarin kanssa. Laitisen väitöstutkimus How Audience Bodies Form tarkastettiin Taideyliopiston Teatterikorkeakoulussa syksyllä 2025.

The performance lecture, Life is temporary by Tuomas Laitinen deals with thoughts that arise when looking through the ANTI Festival’s archive. The lecture is part of a new collaborative project between the ANTI Festival and the Reality Research Center, titled The Collection of Vanishing Art, which reimagines the ways in which live art and performance is created, presented, and experienced in the context of public art. As part of the project, Laitinen is preparing a new public performance piece for next year.

Tuomas Laitinen is a live artist, researcher and pedagogue. His artistic work focuses on questioning the role of the audience, experimenting with it and consequently developing new forms of performance. He performed at ANTI Festival in 2014 with his son Ilari. Laitinen’s doctoral dissertation, How Audience Bodies Form, was examined at the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki in autumn 2025.
