The Reality Research Centre produces the Art for Queer Seniors-project in 2023-2024. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with the Sateenkaariseniort ry-association. The project is funded by the City of Helsinki.

Taidetta Sateenkaarisenioreille-hanke luo yhteisöä ja yhteenkuuluvuuden tunnetta +60-vuotiaille queer ja transihmisille taidetyöpajojen sekä taidelähtöisten kotikäyntien muodossa.
The Art for Rainbow Seniors project creates a sense of community and belonging for queer and trans people aged 60+ through art workshops and art-based home visits.
crushing, let´s talk about crushes, crushing, being crushed
being alone and being together
Taidetta Sateenkaarisenioreille-hanke tarjoaa tanssi-, musiikki ja tarinatyöpajoja sekä taidelähtöisiä kotikäyntejä. Ja tuottaa esityksen, Crush[ing], joka yhdistää Queer Dance Group-tanssiyhteisön eri-ikäisiä tanssijoita sekä senioriryhmiä.
Crush[ing] -ulostulo tapahtuu keväällä 2024.
The Art for Rainbow Seniors project offers dance, music and storytelling workshops and artistic home visits. And produces a performance, Crush[ing], that brings together dancers of different ages from the Queer Dance Group dance community and senior groups.
The outcome of Crush[ing] happens in spring 2024.

Kohtaamispaikka eri-ikäisille queer ja transihmisille. Iltojen tarkoitus on luoda paikka kohtaamisille ja keskustelulle.

Sisäänkäynnissä on kaksi rappusta: 15 cm ja 13 cm, joita varten on liikuteltavat luiskat. Luiskia on kaksi, yksi kummallekin puolelle pyörätuolia tai muuta pyörällistä apuvälinettä. Kummankin kantavuus on 125 kg, eli yhteensä 250 kg. Luiskien päähän jää noin 4 cm ja noin 2 cm kynnykset.
Pääovi: pariovet aukeavat leveydelle 97 cm. Kynnys 3 ja 4 cm.
WC alakerrassa: oviaukon leveys 92 cm. Kynnys on 3 ja 4 cm. WC:n keskellä on tyhjää tilaa noin 80 x 80 cm.
Oven eteen voi ajaa autolla tai tilataksilla.

CRUSH[ING] – THE MEETING PLACE:
A Meeting Place for queer and trans people of all ages. The aim is to create a place for meetings and discussion.

At the entrance there are two steps: 15 cm and 13 cm, with movable ramps. There are two ramps, one for each side of a wheelchair or other wheeled aid. Each has a load capacity of 125 kg, for a total of 250 kg. There are thresholds of about 4 cm and about 2 cm at the end of the ramps.
Main door: double doors open to a width of 97 cm. Threshold 3 and 4 cm.
Toilet downstairs: doorway width 92 cm. The threshold is 3 and 4 cm. In the middle of the toilet there is an empty space of about 80 x 80 cm.
You can drive in front of the door with a car or a bigger taxi.
