Kävelyn tiellä on esitys, joka vie sinut Viikin Arboretumiin missä Puhelin huhuilee ja metsä koskettaa. Esitys koetaan kävelynä, henkilökohtaisen Esityspuhelimen kanssa.
Walking within the Frame is a performance which brings you into the Viik Arboretum where the phone is owling and the forest is touching. You will be experiencing the performance with your personal performance phone.
“Ootko sä ollut täällä ennen? Mä olen.”
”Have you been here before? I have.”
Arboretum on metsä, puupuisto, joka on yhtä aikaa sekä systemaattinen että satunnainen. Ihminen, Metsä ja Puhelin kietoutuvat saman kokemuksen osiksi, systemaattisesti ja satunnaisesti.
An Arboretum Forest is a tree park, it is systematic and it is random. Human, Forest and Phone are intertwined as parts of the same experience, systematically and randomly.
Ihminen kävelee metsässä puhelimen avulla, siitä huolimatta ja sen vuoksi.
Kävelee Metsään, sen sisälle ja sen kanssa – ja mikäli ihminen kävelee perille saakka – ehkäpä Metsänä.
Kuka kehystää mitäkin ja ketä varten? Puhelin huhuilee sinulle ja sanoo: “Ei ole kiire.”
A human walks with the help of the phone, in spite of it and because of it.
Walking in, through and with the forest – and if a human walks all the way; – perhaps, as a forest.
Who frames what and for whom? The Phone will Owl at you and the message will be ”Not in a hurry.”
Esityksen keskiössä on teknologiavälitteisen ruumiillisen kokemuksen mahdollisuus suhteessa luontoon.
The focus of the performance is the possibility of technology-mediated bodily experience in relation to nature.
Kävelyn tiellä pyrkii tarkastelemaan huomaavaisesti ja hellästi suhdettamme ruumiin, luonnon ja teknologian välillä – ehkä uudenlaisia hierarkioita on mahdollista syntyä?
In this performance we want to reconsider cautiously the relationship between technology, walking and nature – potentially new hierarchies can appear?
Esityksen taiteelliset vastaavat ovat suomalainen palkittu esitystaiteilija Maria Oiva (www.mariaoiva.com) ja norjalais-suomalainen performanssitaiteilija ja tutkija Kristina Junttila. (www.kristinajunttila.com). Esitys toteutetaan yhteistyössä interaktiivisia karttapalveluita kehittävän Zoneatlas -yrityksen kanssa (https://zoneatlas.com/).
The artistic directors of the performance are award winning performance artist Maria Oiva (www.mariaoiva.com) and Norwegian Finnish performance artist Kristina Junttila. (www.kristinajunttila.com). The performance is developed in collaboration with interactive map developers Zoneatlas (https://zoneatlas.com/).

ESTEETTÖMYYS:
Esitys tapahtuu ulkona, joten pukeuduthan sään mukaan. Esityksen maasto on osin haasteellista, polkumaista. Esityksen aikana pääasiassa kävellään tai seistään. Esitysmaastossa ei pysty kulkemaan pyörätuolilla.
Esitys tapahtuu puhelimen välityksellä, jotka jaetaan yleisölle ennen esitystä. Teknologista erityisosaamista ei tarvita, mutta esitykseen osallistuminen edellyttää, että pystyy lukemaan ja kuulemaan informaatioita puhelimelta esityksen aikana.

ACCESSIBILITY:
Dress according to the weather. The terrain is partly challenging, off-trail. During the performance the audience mainly walk or stand. It is not possible to use wheelchair on the terrain.
The performance communicates through smartphones which are provided before the performance. You don’t need technological knowledge but you need to be able to read and hear information through the phone during the performance.
